The defining characteristic of ikat is that the patterns are dyed onto the yarns before the fabric is woven. This is achieved through a masterful process of resist dyeing on either the warp or weft fibers, or on both.
Handspun : Natural fibers, drawn out and twisted together by hand to form a yarn.
Handwoven : Handspun yarns woven together using a handloom.

The Venice Belt is a striking remake of a traditional sari belt using Gota Patti, an embroidery technique traditionally used in clothing for Mughal and Rajput royalty.
The Venice Belt features hand embroidery with copper thread (zari) on soft cotton velvet with a smooth, fine silk natural dye backside.
Three sets of handsewn hook and eye closures make the belt adjustable in length, allowing it to be worn floating and high on the waist or lower on the hips in belt loops.
